Serenity of life counseling services1/17/2024 Tylor creates change through a systemic perspective in which he focuses on the personal experiences of his clients and how those experiences affect them and their relationships. He strives to help others set and achieve their goals to create positive change in their lives and relationships. Tylor has experience working with couples, families, and individuals. He earned his Bachelor's in Psychology from Notre Dame College in 2015. Tylor is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee, working under supervision, who is completing his Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy at The University of Akron. He enjoys travel, sports, cooking, hiking, spending time with his family, and is a long-time resident of Wadsworth, Ohio. Phil is involved in several local charity and professional organizations. In providing such a space, a client can then be more motivated to make more positive life changes.ĭr. He has long believed and practiced the idea that having a helpful, therapeutic relationship involves providing a safe, trusting space for clients to discuss thoughts, feelings and behaviors. His approach to therapy is multi-modal in that it incorporates several key factors impacting mental health which include: physical health, family dynamics, spiritual components, and self-esteem. Phil’s areas of specialty include treating depression, anxiety, managing difficult life transitions, grief, codependency, anger, mid-life issues, Men’s issues, self- defeating behaviors, and marriage/relationship issues. He is trained in Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical- Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Existential Therapy.ĭr. program in Counseling Psychology in 1993. He graduated from The University of Akron’s Ph.D. Phil Scozzaro is a licensed psychologist who has thirty years experience as a therapist. When she is not in the office, Heidi enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and spending time with her two dogs.ĭr. Heidi uses Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Person Centered therapy, Mindfulness and is trained in EMDR. Her passion is helping people feel accepted, worthy and capable through the use of coping skills and personal strengths. Heidi treats a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, behavioral concerns, adjustment issues, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship issues, trauma and LGBT+ specific concerns. She has worked in community mental health, private practice and the school setting. H eidi has experience working with a wide population including adults, adolescents and children. Heidi is fully trained in EMDR, and holds a state license as a LPCC-S (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation). Her undergraduate career was at Cleveland State University where she obtained her Bachelors in Psychology in 2013. Heidi Buckingham Summers received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Akron in 2016. Shea provides a safe/comfortable environment where you can collaborate together and work on growth/healing. While understanding growth/change is often uncomfortable, it is necessary for achieving insight, self-improvement, and systemic change. Shea has an empathetic, analytical, and direct therapeutic style and often utilizes Structural, Experiential, IFS, Object Relations Family Therapy, and person-centered techniques. Shea's areas of specialties include treating marriage/couples, trauma, difficult life transitions, insecurities, depression, and anxiety. Shea is also very passionate about Internal Family Systems work and is IFS-informed. Shea is trained in systems theory, EMDR, OCD/Panic Disorder, and TF-CBT. Shea is an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate ) and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision designation. Shea graduated from a dually accredited Master's program for Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from The University of Akron.
